TOPIC: An apple a day keeps the doctor away!

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:One computer per students, with an Internet connection, a Web browser, email and Microsoft Office Word. Each student already has an email account.

PREPARATION:1. Teacher instructs students to locate websites on healthy lifestyle.2. Using the information from the sites, students are required to prepare their own schedule for healthy diets.

PROCEDURE:
1. Teacher shows students pictures of unhealthy individual and asks students opinion on the picture. Teacher writes students’ answers on the board.

2. Teacher asks students if they know what how to have a healthy lifestyle. Then, teacher explains to students that having a healthy diet is one of way in keeping a healthy lifestyle.

3. Teacher then asks students to log in to the website given by the teacher. Based on the information from the website, teacher instructs students to prepare their own schedule of healthy diets.

4. Teacher then tells students to provide their reasons for choosing the menu in their scheduled. For example, they choose fish because it is high with vitamin and protein.

5. Teacher asks students the benefits of having healthy diets.

6. Teacher tells students to write an essay about healthy lifestyle for follow up activities.

1.The website was targeted to learners from beginner level until advanced level of learning.

2.The website contains of a variety of activities on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and listening. The users are expected to answer a range of question on particular activities.

3.In order to use the application, the users should have skills in using Microsoft Word because the activities involved a lot of Microsoft Word based questions.

4.There are similarities between the activities in this website and the activities that I have done in English lesson when I was in primary school. For example, words matching questions and some grammar activities were similar with what I have done during my primary school.

5.In my opinion, the website is best used in lab associated with a class so that the learners will gain better understanding on what they are learning, moreover the website consists of merely activities, and therefore a teacher’s role is necessary here.

6.I think the only theory that underlies this website is Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence theory.

7.The website created mostly based on Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence theory since it involved activities that requires the students to think beyond their abilities in order to become competent in particular language skills.

8.In my opinion, the computer was created to make things more productive, there fore it assist us in doing our task much easier and faster. I don’t think a computer can replaced a teacher’s role and it is also not an obedient servant to students.

9.Yes, I will use this website in my future work in order to help my students in enhancing their English language skills.

10.I think the website is functioning at its best, there fore I have no suggestion or recommendations to improve the website, however I will recommend English teachers to use this website in order to make the learning of English becoming more easier and fun.
